How to Pack

Campers are allowed 2 pieces of soft luggage, with a sleeping bag and all other items to fit within those bags. No hard trunks or hard suitcases are allowed in order to maximize storage. No plastic bins or drawers will be allowed. No additional luggage will be allowed in the bunk due to space and Board of Health regulations.

Note: Please make sure to clearly label all bags and suitcases with your camper’s full name. Please do not pack your campers’ belongings in garbage bags. Please refer to our Packing List, available here and in your CampInTouch account.

Tips for Packing:

  • Pack with your camper! That way they will know exactly what is in their bags, and where to find it
  • Separate items - Bag t-shirts together, pants together, socks together etc. That way your camper can unpack and place their items in the cubby easily.
  • Let them choose! - Give your camper options so that they pack what they are comfortable wearing/using.
  • Label everything - Yes, including socks! Our lost and found is sorted through daily, and we return what is found to their owner, but only if it's labeled.
  • Toiletries - Send your camper with items that they can open by themselves (shampoo, conditioner, etc), and toothpaste flavor that they enjoy!
  • Don't pack valuables - Camp is not responsible for any valuables brought to camp. We strongly urge you to avoid sending valuable items to camp. Please leave the following items at home: cell phones, jewelry, large radios, DVD players, video games, Nintendo DS, computers and other electronic equipment. Small music devices or MP3 players are permitted, but not recommended, nor is camp responsible for such items.

DO NOT send the following items to camp:

  • No devices that can connect to the internet are allowed. They will be confiscated and locked away until closing day
  • No water guns or water balloons: Campers may not bring any type of water gun or water balloon to camp.
  • No weapons: Weapons including, but not limited to, knives (including Swiss Army knives), guns or explosives (including fire crackers), are prohibited in camp and may not be carried on camp-sponsored trips or on property at any time.

Camp is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Parents often call after camp looking for lost items and are sometimes upset that their child has misplaced an expensive piece of clothing or electronic equipment. While we will do our best to locate these items for you after camp, please be advised that it is a long and slow process due to the size of camp and available manpower, and more times than not, we cannot recover the missing item. The best way to avoid this problem is NOT to send expensive or sentimental items to camp.
